There's a lot at stake this city council election. Three council positions are up for election.

It's important you have plenty of facts and information as you decide on candidates for city council.

The special interest group called the boat ramp neighbors, otherwise known as the Concerned Citizens of Rivergrove (Political Action Committee ID #25324, registered under Janice "Susie" Lahsene and Mary Lou Vanslavie with the Oregon Secretary of State), are at it again.

They're suing the city to stop the Stark Boat Ramp Restoration Project (LUBA appeal).

They oppose the city performing maintenance on city property. It's like your neighbor suing you because you're replacing your broken deck.

Now they've endorsed three candidates for city council: Leah Silber, Joan Joyce and David Dull.

If all three are elected to council, they'll work on behalf of the boat ramp neighbors and send the city backward at least a decade.

  • The city will return to serving the boat ramp special interest group.

  • They'll restrict parking by the boat ramp.

  • They'll stop the Stark Boat Ramp Restoration Project and let the ramp fall into disrepair, causing a safety hazard.

  • They'll neglect our city parks.

  • They'll force a change in city management, theatening smooth operations of the city.

  • They'll talk endlessly about accountability, transparency, resident participation and responsible management while accomplishing little.

  • They'll let the city's budget position languish and achieve nothing tangible that makes the city a better place for you to live.

  • Your voice will matter much less.

We get it. It's always about the boat ramp. We're tired of it, too.

We just want the boat ramp fixed so we can move onto other good works and initiatives that benefit our community and serve the public good.

Vote for Brett Egusa and Curt Taylor this fall.

Let's move Rivergrove FORWARD!
