Candidate Statement
My name is Brett Egusa, and I'm running for Rivergrove City Council. Our city faces critical decisions in the coming years: updating outdated 1970s ordinances, completing capital projects like the boat ramp and Canal Road improvements, enhancing safety on Childs Road, and managing grant funds responsibly.

I grew up in Lake Oswego and attended Lakeridge High School. After years of military and federal service, I returned here with my family so my children could experience the same excellent schools and community I did. We have a personal stake in Rivergrove's future.

My professional background is uniquely suited to address these challenges. I work as a Legal Editor for Thomson Reuters and previously served as Associate Chief Counsel at FEMA and Assistant Dean at The US Army JAG School. My expertise spans government procurement, grants management, fiscal law, and public policy—exactly what Rivergrove needs.

This experience, combined with my citizen's association involvement, enables me to help our city make sound decisions on public projects and financing while preserving fiscal responsibility. My background in drafting policies and regulations will help modernize our ordinances, making them clearer and more practical for residents without compromising our community's character.

I'm committed to working collaboratively with fellow councilors to ensure our city government operates effectively and responsibly, serving all residents' best interests. Rivergrove's future deserves practical solutions and thoughtful leadership. I'm ready to deliver both.

I endorse Curt Taylor. Vote for Curt and me this election.
